Overall objective: Bring investments and marketing into the cross-border area to promote it as a tourism destination and enhance cultural and natural heritage values through conservation and restoration of an old building and establishing traditional cultural events in the cross-border area Specific objectives: SO 1. Conservation and restoration of cultural heritage sites to develop economic activities for women and youth by promoting intangible and tangible cultural heritage SO 2. Improving the conditions of cultural outdoor localities for developing traditional cultural events in cross-border area SO 3. Promoting cultural heritage and tourism in cross-border region Activities: - Restoration of the old building and its adaptation to the Ethnographic Museum - Gjilan/Gnjilane - Assembling inventory for museum - Gjilan/Gnjilane - Preparation of weekly, monthly and yearly program for the museum – Gjilan/Gnjilane - Train museum employees for better promotion and presentation of the museum’s values – Gjilan/Gnjilane - Construction of sports grounds for football, basketball and tennis – Kumanovo - Construction of playground for children, outdoor gym area and locker room – Kumanovo - Construction of trim path and water fountains – Kumanovo - Rehabilitation of parking for vehicles – Kumanovo - Construction of the amphitheater – Kumanovo - Supply with benches, candelabra lighting and waste bins – Kumanovo - Organizing annual, cross-border tournaments for youth – Gjilan/Gnjilane, Kumanovo - Developing an online platform with all information related to tourism, and culture in cross-border - region, specifically in Municipality of Kumanovo and Municipality of Gjilan/Gnjilane, Kumanovo - Organization of 2 folk festivals – Gjilan/Gnjilane, Kumanovo - Developing tourism packages – Gjilan/Gnjilane, Kumanovo - Organization of two B2B events – Gjilan/Gnjilane, Kumanovo - Promotion of annual sports tournaments – Gjilan/Gnjilane, Kumanovo - Networking with tourism operators and service providers in promotion of tourism packages “Daily Culture Tour” and promotion of cultural and natural values of cross-border region – Gjilan/Gnjilane, Kumanovo - Organizing days of culture with youth as joint sports activity, visits to the museums and forums cultural awareness – Gjilan/Gnjilane, Kumanovo

Expected Results (EN):

R1: One conserved and restored cultural heritage site adapted to the Ethnographic Museum, fostering economic activity for women, youth by promoting intangible and tangible cultural heritage. R2: One improved location for developing sports and traditional, cultural events in cross-border area. R3: Increased promotion of the cultural heritage in the cross-border area.
