- One of the tourism projects implemented in the Aizkraukle local municipality in the Interreg Latvia-Lithuania programm is project No. LLI-474 "Living Rivers". The projects have included the creation of websites, digital solutions, the furnishing of tourist information centres and points, and the preparation and publication of tourist information materials, different wokshops, media and journalists visits. (EN) | The implemented project has created a good experience for cooperation and creation of new tourist destinations in the tourism development of Aizkraukles region.
- Cooperation with the Kaunas city tourism information center and the municipality has provided good experience to the project team and tourism specialists in organizing experience exchange events, festivals, preparing common tourism products, and the experience gained is a good investment in the preparation of work packages for this project and the implementation of the project.
- From this and other projects, the partner has adopted good practices to attract tourists and promote the development of the Selonia border area in cooperation with Latvian and Lithuanian partners. (EN), One of the projects that Jekabpils county municipality is implementing in the field of tourism is No. LLI-477 “Creation of international tourist route “The Struve Geodetic Arc” (“Struve”) funded by the Interreg V-A Latvia-Lithuania 2014-2020 Program. (EN) | The aim of this project is to improve the tourism infrastructure of the Struve geodesic arc points in Latvia and Lithuania, so that the cultural heritage is accessible and attractive for inclusion in cross-border and international tourism routes. Successful cooperation has been established within the project with project partner Anyksciai regional park (LT) with whoom the cooperation, communication and experience exchange ensure the successful project results. During this project there has been popularized new tourism object Struve geodetic arc for Jekabpils and an aim to increase the tourist flow in Jekabpils. Project “Weekend in village” will complement the mentioned project with new tourism product with an aim to increase the tourist flow to the Selonia region in both sides of the border. Interreg V-A Latvia - Lithuania program " International Cultural Route "White Route" (EN) | The aim of this project is to increase awareness and awareness of the preservation of the white tangible and intangible cultural and natural heritage; develop a new innovative and sustainable tourism product; to improve the quality and ensure the diversity of cultural tourism services, products and their availability the tourist flow to the Selonia region in both sides of the border.Project “Weekend in village” will complement the mentioned project with new tourism product with an aim to increase the tourist flow to the Selonia region in both sides of the border.
