- Project code and title: 2 SOFT/1.2/47 Team up for healthy fish in aquaculture systems of the Prut river basin (TeamUp HealthyFish)
- Programme: EU JOP Romania-Republic of Moldova 2014-2020
- Duration: 2020-2022
- (EN) | The project was implemented by the Institute of Zoology (Republic of Moldova) and the Iasi University of Life Sciences (http://teamup-healthyfish.com/). It gave the opportunity to learn more about the current state of the fish farming in the Republic of Moldova and Iasi and Botosani counties from Romania and to prioritize the needs of fish farmers. The partners obtained jointly an innovation patent and published a guide for fish farmers, both being very useful for future collaboration in the field of aquaculture. (EN), Project title: Advanced Tools and Research Strategies for Parasite Control in European farmed fish (ParaFishControl)
- Programme: Horizon 2020
- Duration: 2015-2020
- (EN) | The project aimed to increase the sustainability and competitiveness of European aquaculture by improving understanding of fish-parasite interactions and by developing innovative solutions and tools for the prevention, control and mitigation of the major parasites affecting six fish cultured species, including common carp. Within the project some useful guides for farmers were developed, as Fish Farmer’s Guide to Combating Parasitic Infections in Common Carp Aquaculture, Fish Farmer’s Guide to Combating Parasitic Infections in Salmonid Aquaculture (available at https://www.parafishcontrol.eu/). (EN), Project title and code: Resources pilot centre for cross-border preservation of the aquatic biodiversity of Prut River, MIS ETC 1150
- Programme: EU JOP Romania-Ukraine-Republic of Moldova 2007-2013
- Duration: 2012-2015
- (EN) | The project was carried out by the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University from Iasi (Romania) in partnership with the Institute of Zoology (Republic of Moldova). The university facility for fish culture (Ezareni) was rehabilitated within the project. Grateful to intense field works, a wide database on the fish fauna and, in general, biodiversity of the Prut River was created. (EN), Project title: Building a biological knowledge-base on fish lifecycles for competitive, sustainable European aquaculture (LIFECYCLE)
- Programme: FP7
- Duration: 2009-2013
- (EN) | The project focused on fish early developmental events, growth and environmental adaptation throughout the lifecycle, and on the physiology and immunology of key life-stage transitions. The project results, available at https://cordis.europa.eu/project/id/222719, will be useful in our experimental works. (EN), Project title: Integrated approach for a sustainable and healthy freshwater aquaculture (SustainAqua)
- Programme: FP6
- Duration: 2006–2009
- (EN) | The overall objective of the project was to expand the knowledge base of the European freshwater aquaculture farmers by training them (mainly in diversification of economical valuable products, improving product quality and profitability of production) and with this to improve their overall competitiveness. A handbook for Sustainable aquaculture was developed within the project, available at https://haki.naik.hu/sites/default/files/uploads/2018-09/sustainaqua_handbook_en.pdf (EN), Project title: Disease and stress resistant common carp: combining quantitative, genomic, proteomic and immunological makers to identify high performance strains, families (EUROCARP)
- Programme: FP6
- Duration: 2006-2008
- (EN) | The project was focused on the common carp, which is the important farmed freshwater fish species in the world, including Europe. An useful catalogue of carp breeds (Cyprinus carpio L.) from the countries of the Central and Eastern Europe was developed within the project. (EN), Project code and title: BGP III MOBI-3051-CS/03 Accumulation and effect of trace elements on fish growth and development
- Financed by: CRDF-MRDA,
- Duration: 2005-2007
- (EN) | The results of this and other projects (Quality monitoring & quality assurance of freshwater and seawater aquaculture fish/ 1999-2002, INCO-COPERNICUS; Moldovan national projects 07407.26 INDA, 06.411.014A) will form the ground for experiments on application of trace elements in fish rearing. (EN), Project code and title: 20.80009.5107.24 Management of fish resources and aquaculture gene pool in accordance with the principles of sustainable development aiming the long term usage of the aquatic biological potential (AQUAGENOFOND)
- Programme: State Programme 2020-2023 (Republic of Moldova)
- Duration: 2020-2023
- (EN) | The project will take into account the publicly made results obtained within the project AQUAGENOFOND and other national projects carried out by the Center for the Research of Aquatic Genetic Resources “ACVAGENRESURS”, Branch of the State Enterprise “Republican Center for Animal Breeding and Reproduction” (Republic of Moldova). A special attention will be paid to proposed technologies for rearing the fish in polyculture and the improvement of natural food base in pond aquaculture. (EN)
