- The EU Green Infrastructure Strategy (EN) | The EU Green Infrastructure Strategy aims to preserve, restore and enhance green infrastructure to help stop the loss of biodiversity and enable ecosystems to deliver their services to people. During the project greening plan in both cities will be created also greening infrastructure will be created. (EN), The EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030 (EN) | The EU Biodiversity Strategy for 2030 promotes investments in green and blue infrastructure, as well as the systematic integration of healthy ecosystems, green infrastructure and nature-based solutions into urban planning. Strategy goal 2.2 The EU Nature Recovery Plan. Restoring terrestrial ecosystems and at sea. This means that From parks and gardens to green roofs and urban farms, urban green spaces provide
- a wide range of benefits for people. They also open up business opportunities and provide shelter nature. They reduce air, water and noise pollution, protect against floods, droughts and floods, droughts and heat waves, and keeps people and nature connected. The recent containment measures introduced as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic have shown how green urban spaces are important for our physical and mental well-being. While some urban green spaces protection has improved, green spaces often lose out in the competition for as the proportion of the population living in urban areas continues to grow. This strategy aims to reverse these trends and halt the decline of urban green ecosystems the loss of green spaces. Fostering healthy ecosystems, green infrastructure and nature process-based solutions should be systematically integrated into urban planning, including the design of public spaces, infrastructure and buildings and their environment. Bringing nature back to cities and community action to
- recognition, the Commission calls on European cities with at least 20 000 inhabitants Cities with more than 20 000 inhabitants to draw up ambitious urban greening plans. Educational institutions will play crucial role in raising awareness about the benefits of green infrastructure and sustainable practices among the broader community and will also participate in a contest for the best green infrastructure idea. (EN), Paris Agreement on climate change (EN) | Paris Agreement on climate change. Its overarching goal is to hold “the increase in the global average temperature to well below 2°C above pre-industrial levels” and pursue efforts “to limit the temperature increase to 1.5°C above pre-industrial levels.” With the Paris Agreement, countries established an enhanced transparency framework (ETF). Under ETF, starting in 2024, countries will report transparently on actions taken and progress in climate change mitigation, adaptation measures and support provided or received. It also provides for international procedures for the review of the submitted reports. During project will be created greening plan and greening infrastructure in a long term it will allow to follow global goal to limit the temperature. Also as during project will be done a research about heating waves and it will help to prepare a report on actions taken and progress in climate change mitigation, adaptation measures and support provided or received. (EN), United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) (EN) | United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The ultimate objective of the Convention is to stabilize greenhouse gas concentrations "at a level that would prevent dangerous anthropogenic (human induced) interference with the climate system." It states that "such a level should be achieved within a time-frame sufficient to allow ecosystems to adapt naturally to climate change, to ensure that food production is not threatened, and to enable economic development to proceed in a sustainable manner. During the project greening plan in both cities will be created also greening infrastructure will be created. (EN)
