Schakelpunt Grensbelemmeringen Vlaanderen – Nederland is opgericht om grensbelemmeringen aan te pakken die ontstaan bij de grensoverschrijdende samenwerking van mensen, bedrijven, organisaties en overheden. Het Schakelpunt zal adviezen opleveren aan het grensregio overleg van Vlaamse en Nederlandse bestuurders uit de grensregio. Zij bepalen uiteindelijk wat er mee gaat gebeuren. Het project is een ontwikkelingstraject van 3 jaar waarbij een methodiek wordt toegepast om grensbelemmeringen die worden ervaren in het grensgebied te helpen inventariseren, identificeren, analyseren, selecteren en agenderen bij verantwoordelijke bestuurders in Nederland en België. Het gaat daarbij om belemmeringen als gevolg van verschillen in regelgeving of administratieve procedures rondom bijvoorbeeld grensarbeid, infrastructuur, gezondheidszorg en landbouw en mobiliteit. Het Schakelpunt gaat daarbij samenwerken met onder andere gemeenten, provincies, Euregio’s, grensinformatiepunten, samenwerkingsverbanden, koepelorganisaties, departementen en internationale organisaties zoals de Benelux en Europese Unie. Projectpartners ITEM Maastricht (Institute for Transnational and Euregional cross-border cooperation and Mobility) en UHasselt zorgen voor een structurele link met kennis en expertise, zowel op inhoudelijk als maatschappelijk en strategisch vlak. Gezamenlijk met de participerende Vlaamse en Nederlandse overheden zorgt het Schakelpunt voor de verbinding met stakeholders in de grensregio en met departementen en andere organisaties die van belang kunnen zijn voor het bereiken van oplossingen. Op die manier zal het Schakelpunt inhoudelijk onderbouwde oplossingen kunnen aanbieden aan overheden om zo de grensbelemmeringen aan te kunnen pakken.

Description (EN):

Schakelpunt Grensbelemmeringen Vlaanderen – Nederland was established to tackle border barriers that arise from cross-border cooperation between people, companies, organisations and governments. The Switching Point will provide advice to the border region consultation of Flemish and Dutch administrators from the border region. They will ultimately determine what will happen with it. The project is a 3-year development trajectory in which a methodology is applied to help inventory, identify, analyse, select and put border barriers that are experienced in the border area on the agenda of responsible administrators in the Netherlands and Belgium. This concerns barriers resulting from differences in regulations or administrative procedures regarding, for example, cross-border work, infrastructure, healthcare and agriculture and mobility. Schakelpunt will collaborate with municipalities, provinces, Euregions, border information points, partnerships, departments and international organizations such as the Benelux and the European Union. Project partners ITEM Maastricht (Institute for Transnational and Euregional cross-border cooperation and Mobility) and UHasselt ensure a structural link with knowledge and expertise, both in terms of content and society and strategy. Together with the participating Flemish and Dutch governments, Schakelpunt ensures the connection with stakeholders in the border region and with departments and other organisations that may be important for achieving solutions. In this way, Schakelpunt will be able to offer substantively substantiated solutions to governments in order to tackle the border obstacles.
