The proposed project seeks to stimulate the development of existing educational activities in the target region by improving the quality and applying innovative approaches through the introduction of distance and online learning in a region with negative socio-economic indicators and the presence of minority groups and disadvantaged youth in the districts of Pleven, Bulgaria and Dolj, Romania. The overall goal of the project is to create a modern and attractive educational environment in the two partner schools from Bulgaria and Romania with the support of experts from the Romanian partner 3, introducing distance and online complementary learning for equal access to inclusive and quality educational services. Specific project objectives: 1. Collaborative actions in the development of training materials and curricula, trainings, appropriate equipment and digitized tools, and outdoor learning spaces to create the conditions for inclusive and equitable quality education. 2. Establish a joint learning network for complementary extra-curricular learning, promoting cohesion and positive impact among young people in the cross-border region. Two thematic work packages will be used to implement the project, corresponding to the defined specific objectives. WP 1: "Development of training materials for students and trainers and equipment of training venues", WP 2: "Establishment of a joint training network and implementation of 6 joint extra-curricular training activities in interest clubs". The project will contribute to improving the motivation of all participants in training, educational, motivational and other similar approaches that ultimately contribute to improving the quality of education and training services and increasing employment opportunities. This improves general socialisation and stimulates the provision of educational and training services by the relevant educational structures, as well as stimulating the interest of learners (including members of minority groups, young people in socially disadvantaged situations and/or those at risk of social exclusion). The partners start from the notion that the introduction of innovative educational and motivational approaches will stimulate the general interest of learners in specific areas of their general and complementary education and will form in them a more sustainable interest in the advantages of distance and online learning. Since, in terms of general indicators, both the Bulgarian and the Romanian target region are lagging behind some European indicators and those registered in the national statistics of both countries, the project partners are of the opinion that the implementation of the measures envisaged by the project can be beneficial for the recipients of these measures and, through the exchange of synergistic experiences and adaptation, can create useful common approaches. To summarise, a cross-border approach is appropriate in this case, as with similar problems in the two neighbouring regions, it is necessary to compare the effectiveness of the concerted impact measures and assess how and to what extent they have a positive and sustainable effect. If we take into account the massive use by young people of modern computer and Internet possibilities for entertainment and leisure, the partners are of the opinion that the transition to more significant distance and online learning improves both their general educational background and their overall personal development. Broadly speaking, these main lines of influence include both the improvement of currently existing educational and training services and the gradual incorporation of new forms contained in information technology for personal development, motivation and socialisation. The outputs of the project implementation contribute to the achievement of the output indicators of Priority 3, SO 4.2 of the programme, namely RCO85 Participation in joint training schemes - 2 trainings (teachers and students); RCO87 Cross-border cooperation between organisations - 3 organisations will implement cross-border cooperation (1 from Bulgaria and 2 from Romania); RCO4 Investment in education, training and lifelong learning services - two investments in education (one in Bulgaria and one in Romania). Teachers, students and the local community will benefit from the outputs of the project during its implementation and after its formal closure.

The purchased training related equipment will support the learning impacts of the current project by creating an overall synergistic effect through increased opportunities for full and quality delivery of the activities of the current project.
The partner organisations actively involved in the preparation and development of this project have previously been actively involved as lead partners or participants in other projects under international and national programmes oriented towards improving education and motivation. The good results achieved in the implementation of similar projects in previous periods and the positive experience gained give reason for confidence that the present project will be implemented with maximum benefit for the participants, an effective impact on the target group and a precise management and use of European funds that meets all control mechanisms and requirements. EUStrategyDanubeRegion The EU Strategy for the Danube Region is focusing on enhancing closer cooperation within the concerned by the project territory. The project complements efforts at national level through coordinated activities that focus on the Danube border area especially in the field of the education of young people.
The area covered by the EUSDR is one of the largest macro-regions and faces several challenges such as environmental threats (water pollution, flooding, climate change), untapped shipping potential and lack of modern road and rail links, uncoordinated education, research and innovation systems. Better coordination and cooperation between countries and regions is needed to tackle these challenges. The proposed project will help people living in the project location to benefit from the established cross-border partnership between three educational organisations by working together in research, innovation and training. The equipment and renovation works envisaged under the project will create a modern and attractive educational environment in a prosperous region on both sides of the Danube.
EuropeanGreenDeal The project also converges with the EU Green Deal through contribution to sustainable achieving modernization and improvement of educational methods and impacts, social development and cross border cooperation.
The EU Green Deal is a new EU growth strategy, policy and roadmap that aims to transform the EU into a fair and prosperous society with a modern, resource-efficient and competitive economy. In summary, the EU Green Deal is a growth strategy that protects the climate. Climate change is making extreme weather events more frequent, causing widespread damage in entire communities. The EC has put forward measures on how the EU can effectively get ahead of these climate risks and build greater climate resilience, stepping up action to support Member States and people on the ground. In the implementation of the activities of work package 2 in the current project, training sessions are foreseen in the Young Naturalist Club, practical sessions such as: how to save energy and protect nature, the creation of a space for outdoor activities "green corner", the planting of at least 5 trees, flowers and shrubs in spaces identified by each project partner.
TerritorialAgenda2030 The project contributes to the establishment of sustainable cross-border cooperation between partners of two neighbouring countries.
The EU Territorial Agenda 2030 is a programme for European interregional cooperation that supports with scientific data and research the European Cohesion Policy and other sectoral policies; the programmes implemented by the European and Structural and Investment Funds, and national and regional development policies. The EU Territorial Agenda 2030 identifies two main objectives - a fair Europe and an environmentally friendly Europe. The project implementation activities provide an opportunity to show how the EU Territorial Agenda 2030 objectives can be 'pursued' at local and regional level such as: three project partner organisations working together on how they can exploit the opportunities and challenges associated with their thematic focus. The main part of the project activities offer examples of location-based approaches through joint events and dialogue between partners aimed at consensus building. Experimental innovative solutions, programmes and trainings adapted to the specificities of the project target group will be applied.
Other The support of the project to create attractive training with a view to improving educational and training-motivational services in the target regions complements the actions of the Connecting Europe Facility, programs such as LIFE and Erasmus+, the Bulgarian and Romanian national youth strategies.
Horizon Europe is the EU's framework programme for research and innovation. It tackles climate change, helps achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals and boosts EU competitiveness and growth. The programme facilitates cooperation and strengthens the impact of research and innovation in the development, support and implementation of EU policies. The programme creates jobs, stimulates economic growth and optimises impact investment within a strengthened European Research Area. The project will contribute by creating an expert team of researchers and highly skilled practitioners, working together to produce good results in the design of methodologies, curricula and training.
Other The New European Bauhaus Initiative is designed to complement the EU Green Deal with tangible changes on the ground that enhance the quality of our daily lives and citizens can touch and feel. New European Bauhaus Initative aims to create a new style of living that brings together sustainability and social inclusion.
The project is oriented towards the priorities included in the New Bauhaus Initiative. Although it is primarily centred on improving the quality of pedagogical impact, improving the learning process and creating sustainable positive motivation among the target group, the project keeps in mind the priorities and values, goals and objectives of the New Bauhaus Initative. In particular, the main focus of the project according to the categorical options of New Bauhaus Initative can be attributed to the category of interdisciplinary educational models, i.e. models and methods that integrate the values of sustainability, inclusiveness and aesthetics into the content of the curricula and the learning process. Projects implemented under the New Bauhaus Initative focus, among others, on small and medium-sized enterprises that develop and provide products and services adapted to the needs of their customers and support the micro-economy. Of course, the project faces a broader range of expected impacts, beyond the mentioned specificity of the entrepreneurship discipline and the broadening of the impact on this topic by including additional knowledge, skills and habits. We indicate this partial project activity for a reason, because ultimately the underlying long-term goals, important socio-economic strategies based on educational practices and policies, contribute to the human and social dimension (priority 3). The project will contribute to the implementation of the New European Bauhaus Initative by creating and delivering state-of-the-art innovative learning programmes for the target group and shaping green spaces in designated locations by all project partners.
Other The European Commission defines Green Procurement as a procedure by which public authorities seek to obtain products, services and works with a reduced environmental impact throughout their life cycle instead of products, services and works with the same basic function that would otherwise be presented. This project will contribute to the implementation of Green Procurement by incorporating additional green criteria in the tendering procedures for the purchase of the equipment and works envisaged. The "green" aspect of the procurement will be manifested, for example, in the requirements of the technical specification, in the grounds for exclusion of a bidder, in the criteria for selection of a contractor and even in the contractual obligations of the contractor. The concept of Green Procurement will be applied in procurement procedures, regardless of the subject matter of the contract, the value and the contractor. The most relevant green criteria to be imposed in the procurement of the project are: in the definition of the contract requirements - the technical specification will include environmental performance; in the selection of the contractor - environmental performance requirements and exclusion from the procedure; in the award of the public contract - environmental performance, life cycle costing rules; in the performance of the public contract - the possibility of imposing special performance conditions including environmental.
