Contribution to wider strategies and policies:

    • EUStrategyDanubeRegion Objectives and results of the PATHS project contributes to PA9 “People and Skills” of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region by aligning with the strategy's focus on enhancing education, skills development, and employment opportunities across the region. Through SO1, by developing strategy and AP for DR LPSS based on situation analysis among various stakeholders we contribute to several actions particularly to Action 4 “Fighting Poverty and Promoting Social Inclusion for All” by developing career guidance models and framework for the implementation and Action 1 “Intensify Cooperation in Labour Market Policies” by intensifying the cooperation between labour market stakeholders’. Action 4 “Fighting Poverty and promoting Social Inclusion for All” will be further strengthened by developing policy recommendations developed through SO2 advocated to relevant stakeholders and decision makers. ACTION 8: “Inclusive Education, Equity, Common Values and Sustainable Development” and Action 3 ”Integration of Vulnerable Groups into the Labour Market” will be strengthened by our outputs and results mainly in the SO3 and implementation of local pilot projects aimed at providing career development support for young individuals, helping them make informed educational and occupational choices, develop essential job search skills, and manage their careers effectively. By offering career counselling, mentoring, networking opportunities, and job placement assistance, this project empowers youth to navigate the labour market successfully and fosters their employability. To ensure sustainability of the results within SO3 policy recommendations will be formulated to address legislators and higher education institutions (compulsory career support, free access, accessible courses, funding model, strengthening labour market involvement at national and transnational level).
    • TerritorialAgenda2030 Since the PATHS project is focusing on career guidance for youth it aligns with the measures of the Territorial Agenda 2030 in the EU by contributing to the development of human capital, fostering social cohesion, and promoting sustainable economic growth across different regions. By providing career development support for young individuals, this project helps enhance the skills and employability of the youth population, which is essential for achieving the goals of the Territorial Agenda 2030. Moreover, by offering guidance services that assist individuals in making informed educational and occupational decisions, this project contributes to reducing disparities in access to quality education and employment opportunities, thus supporting the agenda's aim of promoting social inclusion and equal opportunities for all citizens. Additionally, the emphasis on lifelong career guidance in the project aligns with the Territorial Agenda 2030's focus on sustainable development, innovation, and enhancing the quality of life in urban and rural areas throughout the EU. Through initiatives like this, the project plays a vital role in supporting the strategic objectives of the Territorial Agenda 2030 by investing in human capital, fostering social cohesion, and promoting sustainable development across different regions in the European Union.
    • Other Other strategic initiatives to which the PATHS project will contribute include:
    • 1. European Lifelong Guidance Policy Network: This network aims to assist EU member states in developing guidance policies and systems through European collaboration, promoting the professionalization of career guidance services and enhancing access to guidance for citizens across different age groups and career stages.
    • 2. European Commission Initiatives: The European Commission is actively involved in developing tools and principles to support career guidance, such as the European Job Mobility Portal EURES, micro-credentials initiatives, and the European Network of Public Employment Services. These initiatives focus on enhancing skills, promoting lifelong learning, and ensuring universal access to career guidance services across EU countries
    • 3. EU Funding Programs: The EU invests in various projects and programs to support career development and guidance. For instance, the Erasmus+ allocates significant funding to transnational projects aimed at addressing societal challenges of the youth, which directly contribute to creating opportunities for career development and guidance.
