Description (EN):

Lead partner: 1. Intensification of the wastewater treatment plant on the capacity of 1000 inhabitants. 2. Expert workshop - Innovative methods of wastewater treatment. UA partner: 1. Construction of a sanitary sewerage system in Velykyi Bereznyi with connection and associated infrastructure and technical facilities with a total length of approximately 2687 m. As a result, the number of subscribers to the sewerage system will increase by approximately 950 people. Additionally, one educational institution will be connected to the network (Velykyi Bereznyi boarding school - approximately 200 people, including 50 internally displaced persons). 2. Expert conference. A leaflet on raising awareness of environmental protection in the border area. Summary of the project, donors and project results. Explanation of the technological procedures of innovative methods in accessible means for the general public. All the acitivities contribute to reducing of environmental pollution through the development of sewerage infrastructure and improved wastewater management and also to raising environmental awareness of the population on nature conservation, in particular water resources, and promoting their sustainable management in the project area.

Expected Achievements (EN):

Tha main objective of the project is to improve and maintain the soil and water quality in the crossborder region by Intensification of the wastewater treatment plant in Malá Domaša and construction of a sewerage system in part of Velykyi Bereznyi (Pomirkyi River). It liks to the overall programme goal because it contributes to the goals such as restoration and maintainance the quality of waters and soil, prevention of environmental polution of the cross border area.
