    • Other TRANSFORMED contributes to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goal 17 (Partnerships for the goals) through supporting a cross-sector cooperation between Local authorities and Civil society organisations. The multilevel knowledge dissemination synergies that are going to take place will result in a resilient civil society/local authority tandem with empowered partners that should respond to SDGs 10 and 16 specifically the following associated targets:
    • 10.2: empower and promote the social, economic and political inclusion of all, irrespective of age, sex, disability, race, ethnicity, origin, religion or economic or other status;
    • 10.7: Facilitate orderly, safe, regular and responsible migration and mobility of people, including through the implementation of planned and well-managed migration policies;
    • 16.7: Ensure responsive, inclusive, participatory and representative decision- making at all levels;
    • 16.10: Ensure public access to information and protect fundamental freedoms, in accordance with national legislation and international agreements;
    • 16.a: Strengthen relevant national institutions, including through international cooperation, for building capacity at all levels, in particular in developing countries, to prevent violence and combat terrorism and crime.
    • The project is committed to replicate best practices and facilitate the introduction of participatory governance models for community serving programs that respond to social inclusion challenges in the Mediterranean and the southern neighborhood region in line with preliminary inputs on the development macro-regional strategy in the Mediterranean. By implementing activities anticipated under TRANSFORMED the project will make available a transnational community-based Handbook that should feed the Macro-regional strategies with the most pressing social and territorial cohesion challenges in the Mediterranean and southern neighborhood region, in complementarity with NEXT MED program and SDG 17.
