Contribution to wider strategies and policies:

    • Other The project aligns with global strategies on social inclusion and sustainable development in the cultural heritage (CH) sector. DIEM builds strong complementarities with major programmes and policies.
    • ● It supports Interreg Euro-MED by promoting sustainable CH site valorisation through training and innovation for responsible management.
    • ● With NEXT Italy-Tunisia, DIEM addresses Priority 2.2 (education-labour link) and 2.3 (mobility) via joint training, exchanges, and digital tools. It also complements Interreg SUDOE (SO 4.6) by fostering inclusion through culture.
    • ● Internationally, DIEM contributes to SDG 8 (decent work) and SDG 10 (reduced inequalities) by improving training access for vulnerable groups.
    • ● At EU level, DIEM aligns with the European Skills Agenda and Digital Education Action Plan (2021–2027) through hybrid learning, AI translation tools, and transversal skills. It complements Erasmus+ with integrated, co-certified VET–HEI modules.
    • ● Nationally, it supports Italy’s PE5 “CHANGES” and Mission 4 of PNRR, fostering research and education in CH. In Spain, it contributes to the “Planes de Sostenibilidad Social para el turismo”, enhancing local development via heritage-based training.
    • To ensure impact and relevance, DIEM adapts its outputs to different socio-economic contexts using flexible methods tested in urban, rural, and disadvantaged areas. This is backed by local needs assessments that tailor training tools and content to each territory.
    • WP3 ensures a cross-border, inclusive approach by harmonising course credits. This facilitates transferability, aligns with similar initiatives, and reduces barriers to CH training access.
    • Stakeholder engagement is central, with co-design processes involving local authorities, civil society, and professionals from the outset. Their participation ensures local ownership and supports long-term sustainability and replication of results.
