There is a common challenge in the Czechia-Bavaria border region: despite the growing importance of assistive and rehabilitation robotics, there is a lack of coordinated educational approaches and common understanding between the healthcare professions, engineering, and design. Different technical languages and working methods make cooperation and the practical application of technical solutions difficult. The project aims to fill this gap through a cross-border format of education and cooperation. It strengthens the understanding of therapeutic procedures, technical possibilities, and design requirements, thereby increasing the quality and practical orientation of education in the border region. The added value for the program area lies in the qualification of students and the sustainable networking of relevant actors on both sides of the border. The main activities are the joint development of a methodological educational framework, interdisciplinary educational forms, and practical examples. The outputs include proven teaching methods, case studies, and knowledge exchange at the student level. The developed educational formats will be integrated into the curricula of the participating universities. A cross-border approach is necessary because both regions face similar challenges, but there are currently almost no coordinated educational formats. The target groups are students, therapeutic facilities, and regional actors in the field of education and innovation.

Im bayerisch-tschechischen Grenzraum besteht eine gemeinsame Herausforderung: Trotz wachsender Bedeutung von Assistenz- und Rehabilitationsrobotik fehlen abgestimmte Bildungsansätze und ein gemeinsames Verständnis zwischen Gesundheitsberufen, Ingenieurwesen und Design. Unterschiedliche Fachsprachen und Arbeitsweisen erschweren die Zusammenarbeit und die praxisnahe Anwendung technischer Lösungen. Das Projekt zielt darauf ab, diese Lücke durch ein grenzüberschreitendes Bildungs- und Kooperationsformat zu schließen. Es stärkt das Verständnis für therapeutische Abläufe, technische Möglichkeiten sowie gestalterische Anforderungen und erhöht damit die Qualität und Praxisnähe der Ausbildung im Grenzraum. Der Mehrwert für das Programmgebiet liegt in der Qualifizierung von Studierenden und der nachhaltigen Vernetzung relevanter Akteure beiderseits der Grenze. Zentrale Aktivitäten sind die gemeinsame Entwicklung eines methodischen Bildungsrahmens, interdisziplinäre Ausbildungsformate und praxisnahe Fallbeispiele. Als Outputs entstehen erprobte Lehrformate, Fallstudien und Austauschformate für Studierende. Die entwickelten Ausbildungsformate werden in die Lehrpläne der teilnehmenden Hochschulen integriert. Der grenzüberschreitende Ansatz ist notwendig, da beide Regionen vor ähnlichen Herausforderungen stehen, bislang jedoch kaum abgestimmte Bildungsformate existieren. Zielgruppen sind Studierende, therapeutische Einrichtungen sowie regionale Bildungs- und Innovationsakteure.

V česko-bavorském pohraničí existuje společná výzva: navzdory rostoucímu významu asistenční a rehabilitační robotiky chybí koordinované vzdělávací přístupy a společné porozumění mezi zdravotnickými profesemi, inženýrstvím a designem. Rozdílné odborné jazyky a pracovní postupy ztěžují spolupráci a praktické uplatnění technických řešení. Cílem projektu je tuto mezeru zaplnit prostřednictvím přeshraničního formátu vzdělávání a spolupráce. Posiluje porozumění terapeutickým postupům, technickým možnostem a designovým požadavkům, a tím zvyšuje kvalitu a praktickou orientaci vzdělávání v pohraniční oblasti. Přidaná hodnota pro programovou oblast spočívá v kvalifikaci studentů a udržitelném propojení relevantních aktérů na obou stranách hranice. Hlavními aktivitami jsou společný vývoj metodického vzdělávacího rámce, interdisciplinární vzdělávací formy a praktické příklady. Výstupy zahrnují osvědčené formy výuky, případové studie a výměnu znalostí na úrovni studentů. Vyvinuté formáty vzdělávání budou začleněny do učebních plánů zúčastněných vysokých škol. Přeshraniční přístup je nezbytný, protože oba regiony čelí podobným výzvám, ale dosud neexistují téměř žádné koordinované vzdělávací formáty. Cílovými skupinami jsou studenti, terapeutická zařízení a regionální aktéři v oblasti vzdělávání a inovací.

Expected Achievements (EN):

The aim of the project is to create a cross-border educational framework that will allow students to align the technical approaches of assistive robotics with the requirements of rehabilitation, safety, certification and ethical framework conditions. The starting point is the identified need for education: technical students often have high professional competence but limited knowledge of clinical applicability, regulatory classification, and interdisciplinary collaboration in the healthcare context. The project will develop a common methodological framework, a common interdisciplinary subject and applied case studies, which will be implemented in two cross-border teaching cycles with a total of 120 students. The project thus contributes to improving the quality, practical relevance and sustainability of higher education in the Czech-Bavarian border region and directly contributes to the specific objective of the call.

Das Projekt verfolgt das Ziel, einen grenzüberschreitenden Bildungsrahmen zu etablieren, der Studierende befähigt, technische Ansätze der assistiven Robotik mit Anforderungen der Rehab, Sicherheit, Zertifizierung und ethischen Rahmenbedingungen abzugleichen. Ausgangspunkt ist ein identifizierter Bildungsbedarf: Studierende in technisch geprägten Studiengängen verfügen häufig über hohe Fachkompetenzen, jedoch über begrenztes Wissen zur klinischen Anwendbarkeit, regulatorischen Einordnung und interdisziplinären Zusammenarbeit im Gesundheitskontext. Im Projekt werden ein gemeinsamer methodischer Ansatz, ein gemeinsames Querschnittsfach sowie angewandte Fallstudien erarbeitet und in zwei grenzüberschreitenden Lehrzyklen mit insgesamt 120 Studierenden umgesetzt. Dadurch trägt das Projekt zur Verbesserung der Qualität, Praxisrelevanz und Nachhaltigkeit der Hochschulbildung im bayerisch-tschechischen Grenzraum bei und leistet einen direkten Beitrag zum spezifischen Ziel der Ausschreibung.

Cílem projektu je vytvořit přeshraniční vzdělávací rámec, který studentům umožní sladit technické přístupy asistenční robotiky s požadavky rehabilitace, bezpečnosti, certifikace a etických rámcových podmínek. Výchozím bodem je identifikovaná potřeba vzdělávání: studenti technických oborů mají často vysokou odbornou způsobilost, ale omezené znalosti o klinické použitelnosti, regulačním zařazení a interdisciplinární spolupráci v kontextu zdravotnictví. V rámci projektu bude vypracován společný metodický rámec, společný mezioborový předmět a aplikované případové studie, které budou realizovány ve dvou přeshraničních výukových cyklech s celkem 120 studenty. Projekt tak přispívá ke zlepšení kvality, praktické relevance a udržitelnosti vysokoškolského vzdělávání v česko-bavorském pohraničí a přímo přispívá ke specifickému cíli výzvy.

BYCZ01-007 – ExRe (Interreg) (CS), BYCZ01-007 – ExRe (Interreg) (DE) | Mezi tímto projektem a projektem ExRe existují komplementární, ale jasně vymezené synergie. ExRe je výzkumně orientovaný projekt zaměřený na technologický vývoj prototypu exoskeletu a na experimentální metody v oblasti konstrukce, výzkumu materiálů a integrace systémů. Tento projekt nevychází z výsledků projektu ExRe a nesleduje žádný technologický rozvoj.
Synergie spočívá spíše na metodické a zkušenostní úrovni: ExRe poskytuje praktické zkušenosti se spoluprací mezi inženýrskými vědami, rehabilitací a designem, zejména pokud jde o komunikační rozhraní, očekávání a limity implementace mezi disciplínami. Tyto získané poznatky tvoří důležitý výchozí bod pro nový projekt, který poprvé systematicky převádí právě tyto interdisciplinární koordinační procesy do formátů vzdělávání a kvalifikace.
Tímto projekt doplňuje projekt ExRe, aniž by v něm pokračoval nebo ho rozšiřoval. Zatímco ExRe se zabývá technologickým výzkumem, nový projekt se zaměřuje na předávání kompetencí pro interdisciplinární spolupráci, na klasifikaci technické proveditelnosti a na etické a regulační rámcové podmínky. Stávající spolupráce mezi THD a ZČU Plzeň usnadňuje realizaci, aniž by zakládala obsahovou závislost projektů. (CS), Zwischen dem vorliegenden Projekt und dem ExRe-Projekt bestehen komplementäre, jedoch klar abgegrenzte Synergien. ExRe ist als forschungsorientiertes Vorhaben auf die technologische Entwicklung eines Exoskelett-Prototyps sowie auf experimentelle Methoden in Konstruktion, Materialforschung und Systemintegration ausgerichtet. Das vorliegende Projekt baut nicht auf den Ergebnissen von ExRe auf und verfolgt keine technologische Weiterentwicklung.
Die Synergie besteht vielmehr auf methodischer und erfahrungsbezogener Ebene: Aus ExRe liegen praktische Erfahrungen zur Zusammenarbeit zwischen Ingenieurwissenschaften, Rehabilitation und Design vor, insbesondere zu Kommunikationsschnittstellen, Erwartungshaltungen und Umsetzungsgrenzen zwischen Disziplinen. Diese Lessons Learned bilden einen wichtigen Ausgangspunkt für das neue Projekt, das genau diese interdisziplinären Abstimmungsprozesse erstmals systematisch in Bildungs- und Qualifizierungsformate überführt.
Damit ergänzt das vorliegende Projekt ExRe, ohne es fortzuführen oder zu erweitern: Während ExRe technologische Forschung adressiert, fokussiert das neue Projekt auf die Vermittlung von Kompetenzen zur interdisziplinären Zusammenarbeit, zur Einordnung technischer Machbarkeit sowie zu ethischen und regulatorischen Rahmenbedingungen. Die bestehende Zusammenarbeit zwischen THD und ZČU Plzeň erleichtert dabei die Umsetzung, ohne eine inhaltliche Abhängigkeit der Projekte zu begründen. (DE), BYCZ11-271 – AssistRobotics (Interreg) (DE), BYCZ11-271 – AssistRobotics (Interreg) (CS) | Auch mit dem Projekt AssistRobotics bestehen komplementäre Bezüge, jedoch ohne zeitliche oder inhaltliche Abhängigkeit. AssistRobotics startet erst im April 2026 und verfolgt einen eigenständigen Ansatz zur Vermittlung technischer Kompetenzen in der assistiven Robotik durch praxisnahe Bildungsformate. Das vorliegende Projekt wurde unabhängig davon konzipiert und adressiert einen anderen Bildungsbedarf.
Die Abgrenzung der beiden Projekte ist klar: Während AssistRobotics auf die technische Qualifizierung im Bereich assistiver Systeme fokussiert ist, richtet sich das vorliegende RehabTech-Bridge Projekt auf die Vermittlung von Schnittstellenkompetenzen zwischen Rehabilitation, Technik, Design sowie ethischen und regulatorischen Rahmenbedingungen. Diese Themen sind in AssistRobotics ausdrücklich nicht Gegenstand.
Die Synergie besteht ausschließlich auf konzeptioneller Ebene im Sinne einer komplementären Ausrichtung innerhalb des Programmgebiets: Beide Projekte adressieren unterschiedliche, sich ergänzende Bildungsbedarfe und tragen damit gemeinsam zur Stärkung der Hochschulbildung im Bereich assistiver Technologien bei, ohne sich zeitlich, inhaltlich oder strukturell zu überschneiden. (DE), Existují také komplementární souvislosti s projektem AssistRobotics, avšak bez časové nebo obsahové závislosti. Projekt AssistRobotics bude zahájen až v dubnu 2026 a sleduje samostatný přístup k předávání technických kompetencí v oblasti asistenční robotiky prostřednictvím praktických vzdělávacích formátů. Tento projekt byl koncipován nezávisle na něm a zaměřuje se na jiné vzdělávací potřeby.
Rozdíl mezi oběma projekty je jasný: zatímco AssistRobotics se zaměřuje na technickou kvalifikaci v oblasti asistenčních systémů, tento projekt RehabTech-Bridge se zaměřuje na předávání mezioborových kompetencí mezi rehabilitací, technikou, designem a etickými a regulačními rámcovými podmínkami. Tato témata nejsou předmětem projektu AssistRobotics.
Synergie existuje výhradně na koncepční úrovni ve smyslu komplementárního zaměření v rámci programové oblasti: oba projekty se zabývají odlišnými, vzájemně se doplňujícími vzdělávacími potřebami a společně tak přispívají k posílení vysokoškolského vzdělávání v oblasti asistenčních technologií, aniž by se časově, obsahově nebo strukturálně překrývaly.
