Description (EN): The goal of the project is to develop competencies and deepen educational co-operation between the universities and educational institutions together with public and business organizations in the Barents Region. The academic institutions responsible for university-level educational cooperation in the project are the University of Oulu (project leader) in Finland and the Technical University of Luleå in Sweden. Moreover, in the field of business competence development and vocational-level logistics education, the Arctic Training Centre in Murmansk, Russia, is included. Other partner organizations represent major stakeholders in Barents logistics development (notably port organizations). Besides educational cooperation, also joint research will be conducted in the project, focusing on the challenges and opportunities in cross-border business operations in the Barents Region.
