Description (EN):

The construction of a new wastewater pipeline eliminated the 500 m3 daily wastewater output of the local dairy plant. Apart from that, the inhabitants of the village and the major wastewater producers were also connected to the sewage system, thus reducing the strain on the environment. These changes contribute to cleaning up the valley of the Kígyós stream. There, dams will be constructed to create an almost 100-hectare reservoir that could in the future be developed into a prime fishing site through the cooperation of the three neighbouring villages: Felsőszentiván, Bácsbokod and Bácsborsód. To that end, the plans for the modifications to the existing sewage network were drawn up, and the permits have been acquired for the area of the entire village, including the water rights implementation permit. Several structures have already been constructed: the delivery duct, the confluence shaft, the midshaft pumping station and the collecting channel are all ready.
