Description (EN):

The overall objective of the project is to pursue socio-economic development of cross-border areas through improvement of transport accessibility. In the macro scale the project will contribute to achieve several specific objectives: the cooperation of partners in cross-border regions in solving joint transport problems, the improvement of transport conditions and road safety, promoting interpersonal contacts and cross-border cooperation.

Achievements (EN):

1. One road project aimed at improving the access to the area covered by the Programme was implemented. 2. The number of organized conferences / seminars during the project realization is 4. 3. The number and length of connections (transport corridors) covered by the actions undertaken in order to improve transport links and means of transport cooperation is 22.4 kilometers. 4. Communities using the modernized transport infrastructure including inhabitants of Kętrzyn, Mrągowo (Poland) and the city of Bagrationovsk (Russian Federation) enveloped 122 000 persons. 5. One project aimed at reinforcing of cross-border cooperation was implemented. 6. 200 persons attended conferences and seminars during the project realization.

Expected Results (EN):

1. The number of implemented road projects aimed at improving the access to the area covered by the Programme - 1 2. The number of organized conferences/seminars during the project realization – 4 3. The number and length of connections (transport corridors) covered by the actions undertaken in order to improve transport links and means of transport cooperation – 22,4 km 4. Communities using the modernized transport infrastructure- inhabitants of Kętrzyn, Mrągowo counties and Gusev City – 145,000 inhabitants 5. The number of implemented projects aimed at reinforcing cross-border cooperation – 2 6. The number of conferences/seminars’ participants during the project realization – 200 7. The length of the pavement reconstructed – 1,451 km
