FITT is a unique opportunity to bring together different technology transfer offices dedicated to Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) public research in North West Europe (NWE). As a process of diffusing public research results to the market. technology transfer is crucial in promoting innovation and sustainable growth generation. FITT faces two crucial barriers towards a common NWE Technology Transfer Area: Lack of a common language/process between regional initiatives No professional TT training program recognised in NWE The overall aim of the project is therefore to pilot the creation and usage of a practical toolbox (designed jointly with the project partners) to maximize the exploitation of ICT innovation potentials. Such a professional toolbox should be perceived as an upgraded. transnational and complementary set of initially local strategies. toolsets and best practices in the field of ICT technology transfer. This toolbox will be translated to build up different modules in order to run a transnational training program. This would therefore allow public ICT innovations and related knowledge incoming from the NWE region to benefit from economic growth and competitiveness. Three main steps are perceived as essential in achieving this goal : The establishment of a “common ground” between partners. through studies. analysis. and exchanges on business processes; The design and application of the toolbox in a consensual partnership. based on working groups. and adequate coaching; The steering and the diffusion of a sustainable transnational approach to ICT technology transfer in particular through a transnational training program dedicated to transfer agents.

Achievements (EN):

Technology transfer professionals around the world keep looking for guidelines on how to create economic or social value from mere knowledge. The FITT Toolbox offers you a practical model for building up a successful business from ICT innovations, supported by significant practical and academic evidence. More than 150 original document are available under a CC license. The FITT Bibliography is a collection of "must-reads" for technology transfer practitioners, selected by valorisation experts during the FITT project. The aim of the Bibliography is to address common topics and problems of the transfer process, with a clear focus on the practical benefit.
