Projektet är ett pilotprojekt (nyskapande) som ska utvärdera möjligheterna till ett mer aktivt och målinriktat samarbete mellan universitet/högskolor i Västernorrland och Satakunta. Projektet syftar till att aktivera ett lärar- och studentutbyte mellan lärosätena, med målet att intensifiera det gränsregionala samarbetet mellan FoU-enheterna. Den gränsöverskridande potentialen tas tillvara genom att överlappande och kompletterande kompetenser på var sin sida gränsen på ett bättre sätt kopplas samman.

Achievements (SV):

Resultat från projektet UniPlatform: UniPlatform var ett nyskapande projekt som beviljades 96 000 € från Botnia-Atlanticaprogrammet. Total projektbudget var på 160 000 €, varav 154 551 € upparbetades. Syftet med projektet var att bygga upp ett samarbete mellan Västernorrland och Satakunta vad gäller utbildning och forskning. Projektet drevs av Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) som var samordnande stödmottagare. Turku School of Economics genom dess enhet i Pori och Tampere University of Technology deltog genom University Consortium of Pori. Den svenska partnern var Mittuniversitetet som finns i Härnösand, Sundsvall och Östersund. Projektet undersökte möjligheter till ett mer målinriktat samarbete mellan de deltagande universiteten. De höll bland annat en två dagar lång konferens i Pori med deltagare från Pori och Härnösand. Sammanfattningsvis kan sägas att det finns en gemensam vilja till fortsatt samarbete bland de deltagande partnerna.

Results from the UniPlatform-project: UniPlatform was a preparatory project with a total budget of 160 000 €, of which EU had allocated 96 000 €. The project spent 154 551 € of the total budget. The project was carried out by three Finnish partners and one Swedish partner during the project time 1.9.2008 – 30.9.2009. Satakunta University of Applied Sciences (SAMK) was the lead partner and Turku School of Economics the Pori unit and Tampere University of Technology were participating under the umbrella organisation the University Consortium of Pori. The Swedish partner was Mid Sweden University which is located in three cities, Härnösand, Sundsvall and Östersund. The aim of the project was to build education and research co-operation between Västernorrland and Satakunta. The project clarified and assessed possibilities to more active and goal-minded cooperation and collaboration between the universities. They held a two day long conference in Pori with participants in Pori and Härnösand. There is a common and shared interest between the partners to cooperate also in the future
