Derzeit ist es Touristen nicht möglich, grenzüberschreitende Informationen über Touristenziele in Österreich und Slowenien zu bekommen. In den jeweiligen Tourismusbüros sowie auch im Internet werden nur vorher festgelegte nationale Touren angeboten. In der Folge werden viele Touristenattraktionen nur wenig besucht bzw. die Touristen bekommen keine Informationen über Reiseziele, die es wert wären, besucht zu werden. Ziel dieses Projekts ist es, ein gemeinsames Österreich-Slowenien-Center zu erschaffen – ein IKT unterstütztes Netzwerk aus Dienstleistungsunternehmen, Fremdenverkehrsbüros, Gemeinden, Touristen und Einwohnern um die Zusammenarbeit kontinuierlich zu verbessern. Der grenzübergreifende Tourismus und die Zusammenarbeit bzw. der Austausch zwischen den Anbietern wird erheblich gesteigert werden. Hauptziel des Projekts: ein operatives Zentrum um Unterstützung für folgende Tools zu bekommen: Virtual assistant, Communication service, Information sources, Recommender system for tour planning, Netzwerk diverser Serviceanbieter wie Fremdenverkehrsbüros als auch lokaler Anbieter. Das System soll Touristen helfen, grenzübergreifendene Besuche besser planen zu können, weniger bekannte Sites zu entdecken, die sie eventuell sonst nicht gefunden hätten, um länger zu bleiben und ihren Bedürfnisse und Interessen besser zu entsprechen.Zudem können lokale Angebote und Informationen von lokalen Anbietern dem Besucher angeboten werden, wie zB eine Besichtigung eines spezialisiertenFachbetriebs im Zuge einer Tour, um den Absatz lokaler Produkte anzukurbeln. Außerdem wird ein besserer Zugang zu den Touristen ermöglicht.Mehrere Neuheiten werden in diesem Projekt vereint: die einheitliche Vernetzung von virtuellen und personellen Services in Österreich und Slowenien – um die relevantesten Informationen anzubieten, die Aufmerksamkeit der Touristen zu erregen und deren Aufenthalte zu verlängern.

Currently, a tourist cannot get the desired information in an integrated way from both the humans and Web services, and much less the joint Austrian-Slovenian services. Typically, Slovenian or Austrian tourist office will provide only predefined national tours and not user-centric cross-border tours. As a consequence, tourists may miss locations they might be interested in visiting and tourist locations get less visits. The goal of the project is to create a joint Austrian-Slovenian center - an ICT supported network of service providers and tourist offices, municipalities, tourists and citizens to enhance continuous cooperation between them. Thus, cross-border tourist exchange, collaboration and expertise transfer between providers will largely increase with respect to the current state. The main project output will be the operational center with humans involved, having support of the following tools: Virtual assistant (providing automatic answering in natural language to the questions and performing services) according to demands from tourists, Communication service (ICT solution that will enable conversation between the tourists, virtual assistants, tourist information workers and local communities), Information sources (inclusion of existing information sources), Recommender system for tour planning, Network of tourist services and services from local communities. The system will help tourists better plan their cross-border visits, discover less popular sites that would otherwise be missed, stay longer and better satisfy their needs. Local communities will easily offer local services and information to visitors, e.g. a tour might include visiting a specialized craftsman and boost selling local products. Tourist officers will get better access to tourists. Project provides the integration of virtual and human services from Austria and Slovenia with the uniform functionality - to provide most relevant information, attract the tourists, and prolong their stay.

Turisti težko dobijo vsebinsko povezane informacije še posebej o skupnih avstrijsko-slovenskih ponudbah. Turistični uradi običajno predlagajo pripravljene nacionalne oglede, zato turisti ne obiščejo vseh lokacij, ki jih zanimajo, ponudniki storitev pa privabijo manj obiskovalcev. Cilj projekta je ustvariti skupni avstrijsko-slovenski inteligentni turistični informacijski center - mrežo ponudnikov storitev in turističnih uradov, občin, turistov in državljanov, ki jih podpirajo IKT storitve z namenom krepitve stalnega sodelovanja med njimi. Center bo omogočal boljšo čezmejno turistično izmenjavo ter sodelovanje in prenos znanja med ponudniki turističnih storitev. Glavni rezultat projekta bo AS-IT-IC. Podporni podsistemi bodo: • Virtualni asistent za pogovarjanje v naravnem jeziku in opravljanje storitev v skladu z zahtevami turistov. • Komunikaciranje med turisti, virtualnimi asistenti, informacijskimi delavci v turističnih in lokalnih skupnostih, inštitucijami in zainteresiranimi občani. • Vključitev obstoječih informacijskih virov od baz do podatkovnih skladišč na interoperabilen način skladno z odprtimi podatki. • Priporočilni sistem za načrtovanje poti glede na želje uporabnikov. • Mreža/socialno omrežje turističnih storitev in storitev lokalnih skupnosti. Sistem bo turistom pomagal pri načrtovanju njihovih čezmejnih obiskov, jih spodbujal k odkrivanju manj znanih zanimivosti in jim omogočal kvalitetnejše izpolnjevanje želja kot obstoječi sistemi. Lokalne skupnosti bodo obiskovalcem učinkoviteje ponujale lokalne storitve in informacije, npr. organizator lahko vključi obisk obrtnika/umetnika glede na želje in tako poveča prodajo. Turistični delavci bodo dobili boljši in kvalitetnejši dostop do globalnih turistov. Novi pristop je predvsem integracija virtualnih in človeških storitev iz Avstrije in Slovenije v enotno funkcionalnost, ki bo zagotovila boljše informiranje, privabila več turistov in podaljšala njihove obiske.

Die Projektpartner von AS-IT-IC haben alle geplanten Projektziele erfolgreich erreicht. Das Hauptresultat ist ein neues Tourismussystem, das AS-IT-IC Center, welches Tourismusbüros, Gemeinden als auch Bewohner und Touristen gleichermaßen einbindet. Die Integration wird über eine neuartige Web Plattform stattfinden, welche Tourismusbezogene Multimedia Informationen und Dienstleistungen verbindet. Die Webanwendung wird es dem Touristen ermöglichen auf einfache Art und Weise Informationen über Natur- und Kulturattraktionen im Grenzgebiet Slowenien-Österreich zu finden. Tourismusdienstleistungsanbieter und Kunden werden über ein soziales Netzwerk verbunden, welches das Natur- und Kulturerbe durch nachhaltige Angebote aufwertet. Ein virtueller Assistent wird eine mehrsprachige Kommunikation (Deutsch, Slowenisch und Englisch), mit online Übersetzung und in natürlicher Sprache in geschriebener sowie gesprochener Form, ermöglichen. Multimediainhalte über Sehenswürdigkeiten werden auf der Plattform angeboten wie beispielweise Video- und Audiomaterial, Fotos oder 3D Modelle.

Expected Outputs (EN):

The main project result is a new tourist-related system integrating tourist offices, local communities and even citizens on the one hand and the tourists on the other. The platform will enable: the tourists to easily find information about natural and cultural heritage attractions in the Slovenian-Austrian cross border area; and the tourism service providers and tourists to connect in a network, whose main goal would be to valorise natural and cultural heritage by providing new and improved sustainable tourist offers. Virtual assistant tool will enable communication in three languages - Slovene, German, English. Multimedia content on natural and cultural heritage will be available for tourists - recorded and streaming video and audio, photos, 3D models, etc. Trip planning tool will enable the tourists to plan longer thematic trips, particularly tuned for them or the standard ones. Sustainable accommodation and restaurants will be also suggested by the trip planning tool.

Expected Outputs (SL):

Glavni rezultat projekta bo novi sistem za podporo turizmu, ki bo omogočal povezovanje turističnih pisarn, lokalnih skupnosti in celo državljanov na eni strani in turistov na drugi strani. Platforma bo turistom omogočila enostavno iskanje informacij o znamenitostih na čezmejnem območju; ponudniki turističnih storitev in turisti se bodo lahko povezovali v mreže, katerih glavni cilj je valorizacija naravne in kulturne dediščine preko zagotavljanja trajnostne turistične ponudbe. Virtualni asistent bo omogočil komuniciranje v treh jezikih - slovenskem, nemškem in angleškem. Na voljo bodo multimedijske vsebine s predstavitvami in opisi naravne in kulturne dediščine - video in avdio, fotografije, 3D modeli, ipd. Orodje za načrtovanje poti, prenočišč in podobno bo omogočilo turistom, da načrtujejo več tematskih potovanj v programskem območju, ki bo lahko posebej prilagojeno za posamezne uporabnike, pri čemer se bodo upoštevali kriteriji zagotavljanja trajnostne turistične ponudbe.
