Description (EN):

TRANS TRITIA Project (futher called as the Project) works on territory of 3 states and 4 regions: Moravian – Silesian Region CZ, Opole voivodship PL, Silesian Voivodship PL and Žilina Self – governing Region SK. Territory of TRANS TRITIA Project cover 34,069 km2 and a population of above 7,800 000. Important roads and corridors, Road No. 58, E75 and E462 (European tracks) and Baltic - Adriatic Corridor, lead across the Project territory. The Project wants to improve information, planning and coordination among regional authorities, administrators of transport networks and freight transport stakeholders. The project will the cross – border, transnational, and interregional cooperation of its members with an objective to strengthen economic and social cohesion to achieve goals defined in strategies Europe 2020 or White Paper – Roadmap to a Single European Transport Area The Project has two parts: (1) TRANS TRITIA Strategy of multimodal freight transport and Action Plans implementing Strategy findings and (2) Transport model system – which will be developed during in the project, will describe the cross-border situation between Žilina region (SVK) – Silesian Voivodeship (PL), Žilina region (SVK) – Moravian-Silesian Region (CZ), Moravian-Silesian Region (CZ) – Silesian Voivodeship (PL) and Moravian Silesian Region (CZ) – Opole Voivodeship (PL) and forecast up to 20130. As each participated region developed their transport network last years and would like to ensure sustainable their internal development, they will obtain a tool for preparing necessary strategies and data to support decision of their governments in respect area and transport branches.Project Partners will cooperate closely with local, regional authorities and freight transport operators as the stakeholders who results of the project will be available to resolve the existing critical issues within Partner's regions.

Achievements (EN):

TRITIA is a ‘European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation’ in which three regions of Poland, Slovakia and Czech Republic cooperate. Important roads and corridors cross its territory and with the TRANS TRITIA project the EGTC and other partners want to make transport networks, multi-modal logistic centres, and environmentally-friendly freight transport in their border territory more effective. To this end, the project improved information, planning and coordination among regional authorities, administrators and freight transport stakeholders. Multi-aspect screening analyses and forecast analyses of multimodal transport systems and logistic centres in area were carried out. In addition, forecasts and recommendations were drafted. Specific focus was on the analysis and forecast of the intermodal water corridor ODRA as an important transport way that connects the TRITIA area to the TEN-T network. A new method for setting up economic and environmentally- friendly freight transport in the TRITIA border areas was developed. This digital interactive platform provides various scenarios for freight transport in the area with forecast to up to year 2030.

Expected Results (EN): R 4.2 Status of coordination among freight transport stakeholders for increasing multimodal environmentally-friendly freight solutions achieved through transnational cooperation.

Expected Outputs (EN):

The expected result of the project is improving coordination among freight transport stakeholders for increasing multimodal economic and environmentally-friendly freight solutions in central Europe. This expected project results will be fully loaded by the Project. Transport stakeholders from four border regions of three states PL-SK-CZ will cooperate together and prepare material, analyses, forecasts and Tritia Transport Model system for developing of economic and the multimodal environmentally-friendly transport solutions in Central Europe with connect railways and water way. The project TRANS TRITIA wants to improve information and coordination among regional authorities, administrators of transport networks and freight transport stakeholders for more effective using of transport network and multimodal logistic centres for economy and environmentally- friendly freight transport in PL-SK-CZ border territory and out of it.
