Achievements (EN):

Project activities: The cooperation between the project partners took place, among other things, in the preparation of events and the production of the different objects of view, which each project partner has carried out or developed for its model region and thematic focus. The presentation of these topics in the context of conferences and workshops was an essential contribution to the exchange of experience, which is also evident from the accompanying volumes. These summarise the information and findings of the events and are online for further professional work on the Project homepage http://www.geomap.sachsen.de available. Technical Conferences: The extension of the intra-partner knowledge was realised by involving specialist experts in publicly oriented specialist conferences. At the same time, these served to present the experiences of the project partners on the applied geoscientific methods. Viewing objects: Within the framework of Geomap, a concept has been developed and implemented for each project partner, in which the planned contents and the technical structure of an observation object are presented. The basis for this was the focus of work in the project and the concrete data of the project areas. Network “Geomap” as a platform of cooperation partners and participating institutions A major concern of the project was the formation of a network, which should contribute to solving the long-term tasks in the various mining areas. On the one hand, the aim of this network was to make the knowledge and experience acquired in the project available to stakeholders in science, education and business. On the other hand, not only the users themselves, but also the regions characterised by old mining in the model area Geomap and beyond should be supported. The organisation of the events, the coordination of public relations and networking took place during the quarterly project meetings. As a result, it was a constant contact of the project partners. Over the entire project period (2019 to 2021), all project partners have also established cooperations, the content and results of which are presented briefly below. Academic Cooperation Network: One goal of the network work was to establish an academic cooperation network between the TU Bergakademie Freiberg and the University of Mining — TU Ostrava, including the organisation of future student exchange programs. Furthermore, an additional certificate “Engineer for Renewable Energy and Resource Management” was developed for students, which strengthens the training of engineers in the field of renewable energy and resource management and is supported by three of the world’s largest professional associations in the field of renewable energies and resource management. Community Network: The expansion and strengthening of the network of affected municipalities with the participation of specialised authorities and mining rehabilitation companies was another part of the network work in the Geomap project. Some actors contributing to this network are — in addition to the project partners — FLOEZ+ (an initiative of the towns and municipalities of the former coal mining region of Zwickau-Lugau-Oelsnitz), the Mining Museum Oelsnitz/Erzgebirge, the Sächsische Oberbergamt, the University of Applied Sciences Zittau/Görlitz with its Institute for Process Development, Peat and Natural Materials Research, and the State Authority Palivový kombinát Ústí, s.p. (PKÚ) (Fuel Combinat PKÚ). In the course of the cooperation with these and other institutions, a lively, professional exchange took place during workshops and conferences as well as the mutual representation during expert discussions.

Achievements (DE):

Projektaktivitäten: Die Zusammenarbeit zwischen den Projektpartnern erfolgte unter anderem im Zuge der Vorbereitung von Veranstaltungen und der Anfertigung der unterschiedlichen Anschauungsobjekte, die jeder Projektpartner für seine Modellregion und seinen Themenschwerpunkt durchgeführt bzw. ausgearbeitet hat. Die Präsentation dieser Themen im Rahmen von Konferenzen und Workshops war ein wesentlicher Beitrag zum Erfahrungsaustausch, welcher auch aus den daraus resultierenden Begleitbänden hervorgeht. Diese fassen die Informationen und Erkenntnisse der Veranstaltungen zusammen und sind für die weitere fachliche Arbeit online über die Projekthomepage http://www.geomap.sachsen.de verfügbar. Fachkonferenzen: Die Erweiterung der partnerinternen Kenntnisse wurde durch Einbezug von Fachexperten in öffentlich ausgerichteten Fachkonferenzen realisiert. Diese dienten gleichzeitig der öffentlichkeitswirksamen Darstellung der Erfahrungen der Projektpartner zu den angewendeten geowissenschaftlichen Methoden. Anschauungsobjekte: Je Projektpartner wurde im Rahmen von GeoMAP ein Konzept entwickelt und realisiert, in dem die geplanten Inhalte und der technische Aufbau eines Anschauungsobjektes dargestellt sind. Grundlage bildeten dabei jeweils der Arbeitsschwerpunkt im Projekt und die konkreten Daten der Projektgebiete. Netzwerk „GeoMAP“ als Plattform der Kooperationspartner und beteiligter Institutionen Ein bedeutendes Anliegen des Projektes war die Bildung eines Netzwerkes, welches zur Lösung der Langzeitaufgaben in den verschiedenen Bergbaurevieren beitragen sollte. Dieses Netzwerk hatte zum einen das Ziel, die im Projekt für die Modellregionen erworbenen Erkenntnisse und Erfahrungen für Akteure der Wissenschaft, Bildung und Wirtschaft verfügbar zu machen. Zum anderen sollten nicht nur die Anwender selbst, sondern auch die vom Altbergbau geprägten Regionen im Modellgebiet GeoMAP und darüber hinaus unterstützt werden. Die Organisation der Veranstaltungen, die Abstimmung der Öffentlichkeitsarbeit sowie die Netzwerkarbeit erfolgten im Rahmen der quartalsweise stattfindenden Projekttreffen. Dadurch war ein ständiger Kontakt der Projektpartner gegeben. Über den gesamten Projektzeitraum (2019 bis 2021) wurden darüber hinaus von allen Projektpartnern Kooperationen geknüpft, deren Inhalt und Ergebnisse nachfolgend kurz dargestellt werden. Akademisches Kooperationsnetzwerk: Ein Ziel der Netzwerkarbeit war der Aufbau eines akademischen Kooperationsnetzwerkes zwischen der TU Bergakademie Freiberg und der Hochschule für Bergbau - TU Ostrava, einschließlich der Organisation zukünftiger Studentenaustauschprogramme. Des Weiteren wurde ein Zusatzzertifikat „Ingenieur/-in für erneuerbare Energien und Ressourcenmanagement“ für Studierende erarbeitet, welches die Ausbildung von Ingenieur*Innen im Bereich der erneuerbaren Energien und des Ressourcenmanagements stärkt und durch drei der weltweit größten Fachverbände im Bereich Erneuerbare Energien und Ressourcenmanagement unterstützt wird. Kommunales Netzwerk: Die Erweiterung und Stärkung des Netzwerkes betroffener Kommunen unter Beteiligung von Fachbehörden und Bergbausanierungsgesellschaften war ein weiterer Bestandteil der Netzwerkarbeit im Projekt GeoMAP. Einige Akteure, die zu diesem Netzwerk beitragen sind – neben den Projektpartnern – FLOEZ+ (eine Initiative der Städte und Gemeinden der ehemaligen Steinkohlenbergbauregion Zwickau-Lugau-Oelsnitz), das Bergbaumuseum Oelsnitz/Erzgebirge, das Sächsische Oberbergamt, die Hochschule Zittau/Görlitz mit ihrem Institut für Verfahrensentwicklung, Torf- und Naturstoff-Forschung und der Staatsbetrieb Palivový kombinát Ústí, s.p. (PKÚ) (Brennstoffkombinat PKÚ). Im Zuge der Zusammenarbeit mit diesen und weiteren Institutionen fand ein reger, fachlicher Austausch während Workshops und Konferenzen sowie die gegenseitige Repräsentation bei Fachgesprächen statt.
