Description (EN):

The project aims at empowering local policy-makers to enable climate-smart governance approaches and promote sustainable living in Adriatic marine and coastal areas. RESPONSe will provide the tools to foster effective policy-making on climate adaptation at local level and support strategic decision-making on how best to address the effects of climate change on the coastal areas of the Adriatic basin. Building on the development of tailored climate services tackling vulnerabilities of the Adriatic region, RESPONSe will promote the engagement of local policy-makers and help mainstreaming adaptation planning into policy frameworks.

Achievements (EN):

In three years, from January 2019 til December 2021, we achieved many goals, the following are the most relevant: 1 Monitoring methodology to evaluate future actions, 1 Website for adaptation measures https://www.climatemenu.eu/, 6 Analysis of risks and vulnerabilities of our pilot areas, 6 Action plans (SECAPs) completed, 22 Local events in Italy and Croatia, 2 Cross-border events, 1 Final video.

Expected Outputs (EN):

- Harmonized climate and marine data analysis and databases for Adriatic basin: included into operational regional and national observational networks. - Climate Adaptation Menu: public toolkit that will be promoted and disseminated among Adriatic coastal municipalities - Development of SECAPs and M&E methodologies: creation of adaptation-enabling policy environments through awareness-raising campaigns, provision of technical support and development of ready-to-use methodologies.
