Description (EN):

The Mediterranean area suffers from extremely high rates of youth and female unemployment. To face this challenge, GREENLAND promotes social inclusion and fight against poverty by providing unskilled and underprivileged young people with marketable skills in the Green and Circular Economy, with the potential to generate thousands of jobs. To reach its objective, the project will create new curricula based on market needs, skills transfer to NEETs and women, media-based training tools, and cultural exchanges among young people. The creation of new employment opportunities will be reinforced by the sector-skills alliances between TVETs and SMEs.

Expected Results (EN):

1 e-Learning project platform involving 2,900 NEETs and women. 1 entrepreneurial green network. 7 long-term action plans. 210 national/cross-border traineeships in SMEs operating in the Green and Blue Economy sectors. 18 job-shadowing for key staff of policy-making institutions. 150 part-time and 150 full-time contracts. 20 social employment initiatives by public institutions and civil society organisations.

Training package development, 5.1 - Output 5.1 Selection and Preparation for cross-border and national Traineeship programmes in SMEs, 5.2 - Output 5.2 Cross-border and national traineeships, 5.3 - Output 5.3 Job-Shadowing, 6.1 - Output 6.1 Identification of relevant Stakeholders, 6.2 - Output 6.2 Alliances between TVETs and SMEs operating in GaCE sectors, 6.3 - Output 6.3 Long Term Action Plans and Protocols.
