Description (EN):

PYRFER’s main objective is to enhance the heritage linked to the secular metallurgy industry - Catalan forge, mines, hammers, artistique forge, canals, forge festivals, etc. - present in the eastern area of the POCTEFA area, based on the network and cross-border work of the 10 partners of the PYRFER project. This rich heritage, both material and immaterial which exists since the Middle Ages, shows the shared history of the five cross-border regions (Lleida, Girona, Barcelona, Pyrénées-Orientales and Ariège) which form the PYRFER project. The development of this heritage appears as the condition to overcome the deficiencies identified in the tourism of this eastern part of the Pyrenees, especially marked by the seasonality, the absence of a shared strategy or a lack of private and public collaboration. PYRFER transforms the hereditary assets of iron into a cultural and nature tourism product by identifying a model of cross-border governance and a shared discourse by applying the principles of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism. PYRFER deals with the issues associated with patrimonial tourism in a united way in the POCTEFA area, multiplies the capacity of dynamisation of the partners and encourages the mobility of the citizens within the cross-border reference space, the main consumers of this type of products.

L’objectif fondamental de PYRFER est de mettre en valeur tout le patrimoine lié à l’industrie séculaire de la métallurgie (la forge catalane, les mines, les marteaux, la forge artistique, les canaux d’eau, les festivals de la forge, etc.), présent dans la région est de l’espace POCTEFA, à partir du travail en réseau et transfrontalier des 10 partenaires du projet PYRFER. Ce patrimoine riche, aussi bien matériel qu’immatériel et présent depuis le Moyen-Âge, met en évidence l’histoire partagée des cinq administrations territoriales transfrontalières (Lérida, Gérone, Barcelone, Pyrénées-Orientales et Ariège) qui forment le projet PYRFER. La mise en valeur de ce patrimoine semble être la condition pour surpasser les carences identifiées dans le tourisme de cette zone est des Pyrénées, spécialement touchée par la saisonnalisation, l’absence de stratégie commune ou un manque de collaboration entre le secteur public et le secteur privé. PYRFER transforme les actifs patrimoniaux du fer en un produit touristique culturel et de la nature, grâce à l’identification d’un modèle de gouvernance transfrontalier et d’un discours partagé, qui appliquent les principes de la Charte Européenne du Tourisme Durable. PYRFER traite uniformément des problématiques associés au tourisme patrimonial dans l’espace POCTEFA, multiplie la capacité de dynamisation des membres et encourage la mobilité des citoyens, les premiers consommateurs de ce type de produits, dans l’espace transfrontalier de référence.

PYRFER tiene como objetivo fundamental valorizar todo el patrimonio vinculado a la industria secular de la metalurgia (forja catalana, minas, martinetes, forja artística, canales de agua, festivales de forja, etc.) presente en la zona oriental del espacio POCTEFA a partir del trabajo en red y transfronterizo entre los 10 socios del proyecto PYRFER. Este rico patrimonio, material y immaterial existente des de la Edad Media, evidencia la historia compartida de las cinco demarcaciones transfronterizas (Lleida, Girona, Barcelona, Pyrénées-Orientales y Ariège) que unen el proyecto PYRFER. La valorización de este patrimonio aparece como la condición para superar las deficiencias identificadas en el turismo de esta zona oriental de los Pirineos, marcado especialmente por la estacionalización, la ausencia de estrategia compartida y una deficiente colaboración pública privada. PYRFER transforma los activos patrimoniales del hierro en un producto turístico cultural y de naturaleza mediante la identificación de un modelo de gobernanza transfronterizo y un discurso compartido que aplica los principios de la Carta Europea de Turismo Sostenible. PYRFER trata las problemáticas asociadas al turismo patrimonial de forma unida en el espacio POCTEFA, multiplica la capacidad de dinamización de los socios e incentiva la movilidad de ciudadanos dentro del espacio transfronterizo de referencia, consumidores principales de esta tipología de productos.
