Description (EN):

The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the competitiveness of regional companies in the international market by initiating new CE networks and business ecosystems and highlighting success factors and obstacles in the transition to a circular economy. The main objective of the project is to support the region’s SME enterprises to overcome common obstacles in their transition to a more circular economy. At the end of the project, the participating companies in both Finland and Sweden have increased their knowledge of new business models, new technological solutions, customer needs for product and service development and created new networks and corporate ecosystems. The project offers a platform for networking and expert assistance to increase wood construction and open new business opportunities. The platform gives SMEs the opportunity to find synergies and complementary skills within a larger region, making the transition to a circular economy easier. The project strengthens cooperation between universities and businesses and contributes to increased innovation and transfer of new technologies to SMEs in the region.

Det övergripande målet för projektet är att stärka de regionala företagens konkurrenskraft på den internationella marknaden genom att initiera nya CE- nätverk och företagsekosystem och visa på framgångsfaktorer och hinder i övergången till en cirkulär eko Projektets huvudmål är att stödja regionens SME företag att övervinna vanliga hinder i deras övergång till en mera cirkulär ekonomi. I slutet av projektet har de deltagande företagen i både Finland och Sverige ökat sin kunskap om nya affärsmodeller, nya tekniska lösningar, kundernas behov av produkt och service utveckling och skapat nya nätverk och företagsekosystem. Projektet erbjuder en plattform för nätverkande och experthjälp för att öka träbyggandet och öppna nya affärsmöjligheter. Plattformen ger SME företag möjlighet att hitta synergier och kompletterande kompetenser inom en större region, vilket gör övergången till en cirkulär ekonomi enklare. Projektet stärker samarbetet mellan universitet och företag och bidrar till ökad innovation och överföring av ny teknik till regionens SME företag.

Achievements (EN):

The overall goal of the project was to strengthen the competitiveness of regional companies on the international market by initiating new CE networks and business ecosystems and to show success factors and obstacles in the transition to a circular economy The project's main goal was to support the region's SME companies to overcome common obstacles in their transition to a more circular economy. At the end of the project, the participating companies in both Finland and Sweden had increased their knowledge of new business models, new technical solutions, customers' needs for product and service development and created new networks and business ecosystems.
