Description (EN):

The project is capitalizing the results and methodological approach of the IPA Adriatic project KEPASS aimed at strengthening and harmonization of the technical educational system in the nautical and maritime sector and standardization of school curricula and methods for recognition of professional knowledge of students. The expected results are better prepared labour force and creation of new skills.

Achievements (EN):

The project implemented cross-border tools and procedures for the standardization of curricula of 12 accredited schools from Regions Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Marche (Italy) and Counties of Istra, Split-Dalmatia and Sibenik-Knin (Croatia), including 38 Mobility Training Programmes and 38 Learning Agreements and 65 Mobility Certificates. Accredited schools officially undertook inter-institutional agreements as to provide a quality training programme, including 4 international trainings created ad hoc, while recognizing credits across the borders. By means of cooperation, schools improved knowledge of their different education systems and created the basis for building long-lasting and trusted relationships. The project created mobility and traineeship opportunities for 19 Italian and 19 Croatian students, and certified their acquired skills by referring to EU standards and instruments.The project also supported the mobility of the 27 teachers that accompanied the students in hosting countries and certified their contribution to the management and implementation of the mobility exchange. 43 teachers in total, 19 from Croatia and 24 from Italy, had a chance of building a cross-border network exchange ideas, experiences and to identify good practices, while collaborating to the creation and recognition of transnational skills. The project strengthened the cross-border cooperation among targeted blue economy clusters, while producing a positive impact on 20 involved enterprises. The project also reinforced the synergies between the business sector and the education system, strengthened school's capacity to match labour market needs and gave enterprises' an opportunity to contribute to building a better skilled future workforce.

Expected Results (EN):

BLUE KEP actions strengthen the cooperation between some of the Italian and Croatian players of the quadruple helix (policy level, education, companies and young) in the ship/maritime sector. Cooperation Agreements (WP3 output) between Italian and Croatian technical schools, outlined international modules & shared schemes of recognition of credits (WP4 outputs) thanks to the involvement of relevant public administrations (regions and Ministries) and training programmes of the apprenticeships in ship/maritime companies (WP3 output) will prove the achievement of a durable cross border cooperation among targeted blue economy systems, clusters & complementary specializations.

Expected Outputs (EN): - 3 International modules developed and integrated in ordinary school. - 39 Training programs for students. - 10 Teacher exchange and trainings. - 4 Cooperation Agreements among schools. - 5 Language courses delivered. - 1 Tested tool for students’ assessment.
